Food & Drink North Africa, Middle and Far East Wine Tasting
Bassenthwaite Lake Station
This is probably our most interesting topic to date with unusual wines from north Africa, the middle east and even one award-winner from China! We will be tasting some new and some classic wines some of which are considered among the best in the world. Join our informal tasting crowd of regulars - nothing too highbrow but always fun and interesting. And it's timed to finish in time for the X5 bus back to Cockermouth or Keswick too! Or if you prefer to stay over, the Pheasant Inn will have announced its winter bargain rates or park on the verge outside in your campervan and pop in for a brew or breakfast in the morning. Anything goes and everyone welcome. And don't worry, there is absolutely NO selling whatsoever so you say and think whatever you like! No food served at this event so please eat beforehand.

One of two annual Christmas tastings to get us all into the spirit of the season. Our Head Chef has created five small seasonal bites and we will enjoys these with some excellent wines and great craic! Always great fun and always a sell-out so please book early!

Our Head Chef has created five small seasonal bites and we will enjoys these with some excellent wines and great craic! Always great fun and always a sell-out so please book early! Guests are invited to eat prior to arrival as this is not a full meal.
